CEEC at 10 Years: A Founding Perspective

Publikálva:

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (CEEC) — a business chamber established in 2015 to support companies from Central and Eastern Europe operating in or entering the Vietnamese market.

Among those involved in its early formation was Mr. Csaba Bundik, now CEO of CETA Consulting. He served as CEEC’s founding Vice-Chairman from 2015 to 2023, and was part of the founding group that initiated the Chamber’s development alongside professionals from several CEE countries.

Prior to this, Mr. Bundik held the role of Executive Director of EuroCham Vietnam (2013–2015). In the Chamber’s first year, he supported CEEC’s successful effort to establish a formal affiliation with EuroCham — an important step in integrating CEE companies into the broader European business network in Vietnam.

CEEC’s Growth and Role Today

Since its establishment, CEEC has grown into a recognized platform for:

  • Organizing business events and sector-specific networking
  • Facilitating market insights and policy dialogue
  • Representing 15 CEE countries with nearly 50 official members
  • Acting as a bridge between CEE companies and local stakeholders

The Chamber has also contributed to broader regional engagement by providing a reference model for similar initiatives, including a CEE-focused chamber later established in Singapore.

Continued Engagement

While Mr. Bundik no longer holds an official position within CEEC, the experience has informed his continued work in international consulting through CETA. The Chamber’s evolution over the past decade reflects broader trends in European–Vietnamese business cooperation and highlights the value of organized, sector-specific representation in complex markets.
